Orivet DNA Collection

Service Description

We are an approved Orivet DNA sample collection agent, providing independent DNA sample collection for parentage verification and genetic testing. DNA samples can be collected using a blood sample, cheek (saliva) swab or semen pellet, depending on your dog's circumstances and testing requirements. Samples are collected in accordance with the Dogs Australia DNA Collection Protocol and submitted directly through Orivet. Testing fees are paid directly to Orivet. DNA profiling is now a requirement for many breeding programs, including Dogs Victoria parentage verification. We recommend arranging DNA collection well in advance of planned breedings, particularly if semen has been collected and frozen for future use.
