Service Description

We offer vaginal artificial insemination (AI) using fresh or chilled semen. Progesterone testing is recommended prior to insemination to accurately determine the optimal breeding time and maximise the chances of conception. This procedure involves placing semen close to the cervix to maximise the chances of successful fertilisation. Following insemination, we recommend keeping the bitch calm with her hindquarters elevated for 10–15 minutes to support semen retention. Artificial insemination is a safe, low-stress alternative to natural mating and is particularly beneficial for interstate breedings using chilled semen.
